"Kaub Khun Tee Ruk Gun" ("Thank You For Loving Me")

Here in Bangkok, there is lot of music around. Mostly, I have seen many Thai musicians performing American pop songs in English.

However, there are virtually *zero* Farang singing anything in Thai. Maybe I've been hanging out in the wrong places, but I've seen a lot since getting here in February.

Anyway, here is one small effort to give that pendulum just a bit of resistance. This is a song I learned about from my student Suwanna. It is by the hugely famous Thai band Potato and is called "Kaub Kun Tee Ruk Gun", which translates to "Thank You For Loving Me". It is a sweet tear-jerking ballad, and many, many Thai teens love it. I have chosen to cover their acoustic version here.
