The Grand Palace - Home of Thai Kings

I spent two hours checking out the former home of Thai Kings. The current ruler, King Rama IX, lives in a different palace in Bangkok, but he still holds official state functions here each year. 

The Grand Palace is one of the biggest tourist destinations in all of Thailand. The architecture and artistry are stunning:

This is known as the "Emerald Buddha", though it is made of green jade.
