More than 90% of Thai people are practicing Buddhists. Most Thais visit a Buddhist temple (Wat) to worship and meditate. Wat Pho is famous for its huge "Reclining Buddha" and also for its Thai Massage School. I got a half-hour massage while I was here - it felt great!
